My husband and I didn’t have the opportunity to know you personally because We joined the church few years ago but the little times “I“ saw you, you stroked me as a reserved , calm and classy person. I admired your sense of style too. I wish I knew you more than I did but heaven’s call I cannot question. I pray that God gives Pastor and the family the fortitude to bear the pain of your absence. Sis Helen, you had this aura around you of peace, humility and a deep lover of God, a woman of God, it was wonderful to have known you. You were on our prayer list, we were talking to God about you constantly until we heard the news that you had gone to be with your maker. it hurt, it was a shock. The picture of the thanksgiving we would have had on manifestation of the testimony we were expecting was almost very real in the mind. We surrender to the Almighty God, we are comforted greatly by the fact that you were a child of God and you have returned to base HALLELUYAH!!! We pray that the Almighty God comforts our bro Pst. I have tried severally to put this tribute together but words keep failing me. I waited for your call on my birthday I got none, waited on my anniversary but nothing; it was then it became clear that you truly had gone to be with your creator. O! How I prayed and waited to hear your testimony but God chose to call you home. I know you are in a better place worshipping with the angels and cheering us on to remain in faith. I remember when I newly joined BCC in 2017, I used to admire Pastor Mrs from afar. She was an epitome of beauty, softly spoken and classy. There was just this aura of calmness around her. I really liked her. I got to interact with her personally for the first time when I joined the committee that organised the Christmas party of that year and I saw first hand, the qualities I saw afar off. She was indeed a wonderful woman. We do not mourn like those who have no hope. We celebrate the life of a woman of God that was well lived although short. Our assurance is in the fact that she rests in the bosom of God where there is no more pain and sorrow. My sincere prayer is that the Lord comfort and uphold Pastor Steve and the children.
